A bit if bad news but Poli Poli/Kula Forest Reserve got hit hard by Hurricane Iselle and is closed until further notice. That means that the Skyline trail is also closed as the access road in the park is littered with downed trees.
UPDATE: December 13th 2014. Still Closed.

Bike Park Maui located in Makawao is now open! It provides a great place for the whole family to ride in a well marked and maintained environment.

Bike Park Maui is all about having fun while exploring the island’s agricultural and tropical landscape. Located on private farmland at 1400’ elevation on Maui’s North Shore. Bike Park Maui has miles of trails and old farm roads winding through the property, with features like jumps, ramps and plank bridges for the more experienced rider. Our trails are only open to bikes, but a limited number of people are allowed to walk or run on designated roads.
To visit Bike Park Maui, you enter and check in at the Uli Uli farm stand on Baldwin Avenue, just below (northwest of) the town of Makawao. There you can rent a top-quality mountain bike, or purchase a day pass if you bring your own or one of our rentals. Families are welcome and we have bikes small enough to accommodate kids as young as six years old. To ensure the right bike is available for the kids when you arrive, we recommend using their online reservation system for the kids bikes.
*Mild rain showers are a wonderful part of Northshore Maui and are usually a pleasant way to keep cool. However, we occasionally close the park due to inclement weather for safety and to prevent trail damage.
